Jen Z issues
After spending two months trying to come up with a blog name, I proudly announce that “Jen Z issues” is now official. I didn’t plan on posting so soon, but Substack automatically generated a post with the minimal information I provided when I register for an account, so I guess I better edit it to make the post look slightly more sophisticated.
About the name of the blog, apparently, you can see my name in it. I wanted to come up with something “big”, but eventually, I decided to go with this one. My friends call me Jenz nowadays anyway (because I am always the second Jen in a group of friends), and I am born a Gen Z, so perfect for a blog name, aye?
Since I moved to Toronto on my own earlier this year, I have had lots of thoughts and questions about our society, public policies, culture, and many more. And if you have known me for quite some time, you may know that I am passionate about digital policy, or more specifically, Internet governance, which not many of you know what exactly it is about.
I have once been told, “You can do anything, but not everything”. I do get it, I know we can’t do everything all at once, but still, there are too many things I want to learn, write and talk about. Honestly, I am not sure if my writings will be insightful to you, but I hope we can find some answers (or at least something) to my questions about these cultural, societal, and systemic issues. What do you think?
